Overview

As mandated by USC Fire Safety & Emergency Planning, as well as Information Technology Services, all information technology services providers at USC must develop a Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity plan. This plan is required to describe, in detail, how departments declare and recover from emergencies and disasters, as well as how they resume normal technology and business operations within a set time period following such an event.

Details

Due to the sensitive nature of the information it contains, Provost IT does not publish our office’s plan. Departments we support, however, may request information of a limited scope regarding specific application backup schedules and/or recovery time/point objectives if required for auditing, documentation or disaster planning purposes.

If you would like to request this information, please contact us.

Scope

This policy applies to all users supported by Provost IT, as well as those who have a Provost Account or receive any information technology services provided by Provost IT.
