Business Analysis and Process Improvement Interns play a similar role to management consultants. Interns in this role are responsible for the various business-related aspects of Provost IT. In this role, you will likely interact with clients, analyze situations, draft project charters and related documents, track projects, and create/improve processes. The position is flexible, virtual, and designed for full-time students at USC.

The position involves large amounts of critical thinking and consideration. Interns will be required to analyze value propositions, prioritize objectives, and creatively find solutions. Students should be confident working in groups, leading meetings, clearly communicating, and managing their time. Provost IT will provide training and mentorship to further educate and enrich intern experiences.

The UX/UI Research and Design Intern will work within Provost IT’s Web Design unit to design and develop websites for supported groups. Responsibilities within the UX domain will include performing usability tests, conducting research, analysis, and data synthesis, producing solutions through flow diagrams, graphic design, storyboards, user journeys, wireframes, sitemaps, etc. Responsibilities within the UI domain will include, translating designs into technical requirements, implementing and executing technical requirements, prototyping, and developing documentation and style guides. 

The role requires problem solving and creativity and the ability to communicate ideas clearly. Students should have strong organization, communication, and time management skills.
